MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — The community shopped from over 50 Black business owners for Small Business Saturday.
A Milwaukee radio station, HYFIN, held their second annual “Blackity Black Holiday Market” on Saturday, Nov. 25. The event took place in the Turner Ballroom. People attending this event could shop art kits, soaps, jewelry, bath products, and more.
A new addition to this year’s market included a resource fair featuring local nonprofits, mental health organizations, and financial institutions.
“Black owned businesses have a harder time to get capitol and investment and support than other types of businesses, so we want to use our platform, HYFIN’s platforms to amplify those businesses and that’s why we created this market,” said Tarik Moody, HYFIN program director.
There was also a food court, all day performances, and music.
