Green Lake’s Thrasher Opera House will host an art exhibit featuring the Mid-Wisconsin Visual Arts Connection (MWVAC) through Sunday, March 3.
An artist reception will take place Saturday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public, with a cash bar being available.
This exhibit may be viewed Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For after-hour visits, call 920-294-4279 to schedule a time.
MWVAC is a collective of regional artists designed to maintain a registry of local artists, foster communication among artists in the area and facilitate exhibition and educational opportunities.
MWVAC had a booth at the Green Lake Fine Art Show, where it received the Best of Show Award. The organization is just coming off an exhibit at the Dick Folse Pop-Up Gallery in Ripon, where many of the members showed their works.
All new works will be shown at the Thrasher Opera House, and various media will be represented from paintings and photography to ceramic pieces and textiles.
MWVAC is represented on social media sites such as Instagram and Facebook and its website is www.MWVAC.org.
Following Saturday’s artist reception, Milwaukee blues musician Buffalo Nichols will perform at 7:30 p.m. in the Thrasher Opera House. Tickets are available at www.thrasheroperahouse.com or by calling 920-294-4279
