Here we are again; another year has begun! And with a new year comes new music. In 2023 we were introduced to so many amazing artists and watched them succeed, so we’re very excited to witness it again this year! We’ve been keeping an eye on emerging artists and have come up with a list of who we think will really shine over the next twelve months. So without further ado, here are 24 rising artists that we think should be on your radar of ones to watch in 2024.
Kamille
Kicking off our ones to watch is our queen Kamille. Whether you know it or not, there’s a high chance you’ve heard Kamille’s work before now. She’s the GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter behind a plethora of hits from the likes of Dua Lipa, Little Mix, FLO, and Anne Marie, to name just a few. Now she’s putting a major focus on her own music, and it should not be slept on! Now an independent artist, Kamille dropped her debut mini-album, K1, and performed her sold-out headline show in Omera, London. She’s been gaining a lot of love from the likes of BBC Radio 1 and is gaining fans every day, with her activeness on TikTok giving people a behind-the-scenes look at working on music for both big names and herself being a huge selling point. Kamille succeeds in a variety of genres, but K1 is prominently full of soul beats reminiscent of the 80s. She’s already started working on a second album, and we can’t wait for her to soundtrack our 2024! – Jazmin Williams
We recommend listening to: ‘Mirror Mirror,’ ‘Muscle Memory’ ft Nile Rodgers, and ‘Options’ ft Tamerah and Bellah
ZEROBASEONE
One of the most iconic elements of 2023 in K-POP was, of course, MNET’s survival show, Boys’ Planet, but what was even more iconic was the group that came out of it: ZEROBASEONE. The 9-member group has already put out two mini-albums, sold over 1M copies with their debut, and broken numerous records as rookies. ZEROBASEONE has marked the beginning of the 5th gen in K-POP, so of course, they’re the rookies of the year, and they’re ready to take on the world. It’s been only a couple of months since their debut, and everyone already knows about them, and we understand why. 2024 is already set to be huge for ZB1. – Juu Luquín
We recommend listening to: ‘In Bloom,’ ‘Take My Hand,’ and ‘New Kidz on the Block’
Chappel Roan
Chappell Roan is here and ready to take over the entire world in 2024. We can’t lie, seeing her name grow and grow during the last year has us all kinds of emotional. It makes perfect sense why she’s on her way to the top. The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess is the hyperpop album of our dreams! We can already see the future tours, performances, and bangers that Ms. Roan is going to be serving throughout her career. But for now, we’re beyond happy to put her current hits on repeat and dance our butts off. – Keaton Heisner

Mae Stephens
Mae Stephens had a phenomenal 2023. She kicked off the year by dropping her song ‘If We Ever Broke Up’ and it became a viral sensation thanks to TikTok. Since then, she’s performed at Glastonbury, BST Hyde Park, and Reading & Leeds Festival. She even collaborated with Kuromi for an exclusive song which really captured our hearts. Mae’s music is a funky fluorescent pop with a hint of nostalgia that radiates feel-good vibes, and that’s exactly the vibes we plan to carry into 2024! – Jazmin Williams

No Guidance
What would 2024 be without No Guidance filling it with their harmonies, melodies, and obsessive tracks? As soon as we came across this group, we knew it was done for us; we were obsessed! How could you not be? ‘Is It A Crime?’ that we want to see them take over the world in 2024? And that we think it’s more of a guarantee than a wish? If it is, lock us up because we aren’t changing our tune any time soon. But you can catch us at the next No Guidance show, deep in the crowd singing our hearts out! – Keaton Heisner

Arya Starr
Ayra Starr is a Gen Z powerhouse that you need to keep your eye on. Since beginning her career posting covers on social media, Ayra has released both a studio album and an EP, creating a name for herself as a bold, talented, and captivating Afrobeats phenom. Her debut single, ‘Away,’ released in 2021, peaked at number four on the Nigerian TurnTable Top 50, which was only the beginning. Giving us other incredible hits like, ‘Bloody Samaritan’ and ‘Rush’ (which is now certified platinum,) Ayra has earned herself her first Grammy nomination for Best African Music Performance. Loossemble
We’ve been through a lot of ups and downs in 2023 when it comes to our LOONA girls, but the ups were majestic. In 2023, Hyunjin, Yeojin, Vivi, Gowon, and Hyeju debuted as Loossemble and gave us one of the best mini-albums of the year! With one of the highest first-week sales for a rookie group, Loossemble is already owning the game, and we didn’t expect any less. Their self-titled mini-album gave us a refreshing sound that still resembled some of our favorite and most iconic LOONA songs. Loossemble’s debut is a new chapter we can’t wait to explore with them, and everyone should be on the lookout for all the amazing things that are coming our way from them! – Juu Luquín
We recommend listening to: ‘Sensitive,’ ‘Strawberry Soda,’ and ‘Day by Day’
Mitch Rowland
Fans of Harry Styles will be no strangers to Mitch Rowland. The Ohio-born artist found fame as the superstar’s guitarist and often featured as a writer on many of his songs on the three critically acclaimed albums. Having wrapped up the monster Love On Tour World Tour, Mitch has since been working on releasing his own music, introducing himself as an artist with the introspective folk song ‘Come June,’ before later dropping his debut album of the same title. The album was the first record released on Erskine Record’s imprint label, Giant Records, aside from Harry Styles. He made his TV debut on The Jimmy Kimmel Show, which really pushed him outside of his known audience. Having built his following as Harry’s beloved guitarist, we’ve loved getting to know more about Mitch musically and believe 2024 will see him continue to thrive as an artist in his own right! – Jazmin Williams
We recommend listening to: ‘Come June,’ ‘Bluebells,’ and ‘The One I Love’
Kenya Grace
“And then one random night when everything changes” is the perfect line to summarise Kenya Grace’s 2023 from her hit ‘Strangers.’ The single launched her to number one on the UK charts and made her the first woman to solely write, perform, AND produce a number-one hit since Kate Bush. We’d say Kenya is in good company and has a promising year ahead of her. We can’t wait to see what the new Queen of Dance music has in store for us next! – Emily Miller
We recommend listening to: ‘Strangers,’ ‘Paris,’ and ‘Oranges’
tripleS
If you’re looking for a new girl group with a refreshing concept and great music to get obsessed with: tripleS is for you! Now, tripleS is unlike any group out there. The group has 24 members, but don’t let that scare you because, similarly to NCT, they all rotate in different sub-units and groups. This concept allows them to explore different styles, concepts, genres, and sounds, and they always keep it new and unique and leave us at the edge of our seats, waiting for what’s next. In other words, tripleS has something for everyone. Charlotte is set to release her first full-length album, can we start over?, on January 24th, and she already has her biggest headlining tour coming up in the US, the UK, and in Europe in 2024. This is the perfect moment to get into the hype and start singing her music to the top of your lungs – believe us, you won’t regret it! – Juu Luquín
We recommend listening to: ‘Dress,’ ‘use me,’ and ‘Rollercoaster’
xikers
The fact that xikers’ rap line already has 13 KOMCA credits each, despite debuting less than a year ago, should be enough to convince you that xikers are ones to watch in 2024. But just in case, we’ll give you a few more reasons. They’re the second group to debut under KQ Entertainment, the same company that gave us ATEEZ, so that should clue you in on xikers’ performance skills. If you get the chance to see xikers live in 2024, seize that opportunity, as they won’t disappoint. They have boundless energy and clearly take a lot of pride in their music, which only serves to make you respect it even more. Just like their label-mates, they aren’t afraid to experiment in their work, and we love how much they’ve shown us in their two mini albums so far. – Anna Marie

Reneé Rapp isn’t a name that should be new to you unless you’ve managed to hide under a rock all of 2023. And that’s exactly why she’s one of our “Ones to Watch” in 2024! From her powerful and vulnerable lyrics to her equally insane and moving voice, Reneé is here to leave a legacy in her path. We still haven’t moved past the beauty that is Snow Angel. Don’t even get us started on the Deluxe version she dropped later in the year too…there’s simply nothing ‘Messy’ about it! BOYNEXTDOOR
We dare you to listen to BOYNEXTDOOR without a smile on your face. You’ll quickly find that it’s literally impossible. Amongst many of the other more intense concepts from K-POP boy groups, BND is a total ray of sunshine. Often, as many K-POP fans know, brighter, more cheerful pop music is often dismissed as frivolous, but BND is here to put an end to that. With songs like ‘One and Only,’ this rookie group is exactly what we need to hear right now! Plus, not only is BOYNEXTDOOR as a group on our ones to watch, but we reckon you’ll see a lot of the individual members in 2024, too, as Woonhak co-hosts SBS’ INKIGAYO, and Jaehyun has just been announced as a new MC on M COUNTDOWN! – Anna Marie
We recommend listening to: ‘One and Only,’ ‘But I Like You,’ and ‘Crying’
KiNG MALA
What is a new year without a new ‘martyr’ to obsess over? KiNG MALA might not be new to the scene, but she could be new to your obsession list! Her EP SPILT MILK was one of the best gifts we could have received in 2023. There’s something about never wanting to know what your ex is up to that KiNG MALA put into words better than we ever could have. Maybe that’s why we’re so obsessed with her… – Keaton Heisner
We recommend listening to: ‘sunny side up,’ ‘dirty dishes,’ and ‘bug’
RIIZE
It’s been a long time since SM Entertainment debuted a new boy group, but 2023 was finally the year. RIIZE debuted back in September, and while they have few songs to their name, they’ve managed to win us over with the mixture of their unique sound and the SM sound and energy we’ve loved in previous groups. While many might relate to her runaway single, ‘QUARTER LIFE CRISIS,’ which talks about the transition from adolescence into adulthood that can rock many of us to our core, we believe listeners will be able to find themselves in all of her lyrics (because they’re so darn relatable!) Her EP grown up and lonely dropped in November 2023, setting the stage for an incredible new year (which includes a tour!) We’ve got our fingers crossed she’ll continue to feed us so we’re not lonely this year. – Jordan Mallory

With only her debut mini-album out, JINI has managed to showcase her unique vision, her artistic identity, and her talents in every sense of the word. ARTMS
The best thing about 2023 is that the Loossemble members weren’t the only LOONA members to re-debut this year! The ODD EYE CIRCLE sub-unit (Kim Lip, Jisung, and Choerry) made their comeback first in July with Version Up as part of ARTMS which includes Heejin and Haseul as well. They brought the magic of LOONA’s classic older sound back to life and made us fall in love all over again. Meanwhile, Heejin made her solo debut in October with K, and Haseul released ‘Plastic Candy’ – her solo debut is surely around the corner and one of the many reasons we’re the most excited to see ARTMS in 2024. &TEAM
Since bursting onto the scene through survival show &AUDITION, this group has been one of our front-runners in J-POP and K-POP! &TEAM were relentless throughout 2023, giving us their first comeback, first fan meetings, and first full-length album. The nine-member group (or pack…) is stacked with talent, including multiple former athletes, and, as HYBE Japan’s first international boy group, they can fluently speak five languages between them. They also have some very intricate werewolf-based lore, which intertwines with their vampiric counterparts ENHYPEN, if that’s your kind of thing! &TEAM, fresh off the back of some iconic end-of-year stages, have a big start to 2024 with their first world tour, and we cannot wait to see what this brings us. They’re absolutely ferocious on stage, and if you’re a fan of groups with synced performances, &TEAM needs to be on your radar in 2024! – Anna Marie
