Via Instagram, Jude used 3D animation to overlay Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine Domain Expansion technique on a train exit to a station in Raffles Place, Singapore. The video, posted on Jan. 12, 2024, serves as a stunning reminder and example of how art can be merged with reality, with many on social media commenting on how seamlessly the projection fits with the station’s design. Popular music artist — and now Jujutsu Kaisen cosplayer — Usher seems to have spoiled the upcoming plot for anime-only fans in a viral TikTok.
Anime and manga’s worldwide marketability can’t be understated, although it would perhaps be asking a lot for a Jujutsu Kaisen shrine to be built in one of Singapore’s busiest regions. However, Singapore’s love for anime extends to the government level, as showcased in a viral Facebook post referencing the popular Kagurabachi manga through an official government account. Jude’s post, if made real, would only be the second recent Jujutsu Kaisen shrine to go viral in the past few weeks, with one erected in Kuantan, Malaysia, in honor of the fallen Kento Nanami. The Malaysian government may yet one-up Singapore, following the Unity, Tourism and Culture Committee chairman Leong Yu Man reaching out directly to Gege Akutami for a special endorsement of Kuantan.
Jude’s Jujutsu Kaisen shrine video is again a reflection of the intensity of the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom, catapulting the post to far and away the most popular on his Instagram, with 1.4 million likes since posting. Jujutsu Kaisen fans similarly took over a recent NASA space post after one of their satellite passed over Japan — making it by far their most popular image posted on the account that day.

A comical animation error from the One Piece anime’s Water 7 arc recreates the ‘Belly Mouth’ trope akin to a popular Jujutsu Kaisen character.
Fans can check out Sukuna’s domain expansion in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime. Crunchyroll streams all seasons and describes the series: “Yuji Itadori is a boy with tremendous physical strength, though he lives a completely ordinary high school life. One day, to save a classmate who has been attacked by curses, he eats the finger of Ryomen Sukuna, taking the curse into his own soul. From then on, he shares one body with Ryomen Sukuna.
