Grand County Historical Association welcomes husband and wife duo Steve Morganfield and Linda Holway to showcase their work at Cozens Ranch Museum. For the month of January, their works will be on display at Cozens Ranch Museum in Fraser.

Linda Holway’s art education has been a life-long journey. She started with professional art lessons when she was 8 years old. For many years, she worked under the artistic influences of Jacqui Blatchford, a professional artist well known throughout the U.S., England and Europe.

She is qualified and creative in the fundamentals of drawing, painting and watercolors. To Holway, painting with acrylic or watercolor medium is where her vision captures just the right colors, action or mood. The colors place her in the moment and allow her spirit to renew.

Morganfield’s love of photography began with a gift of a Kodak Instamatic camera when he was a young boy from his parents for Christmas. He became so interested that he soon created a dark room in the basement of his home in Lakewood, Colorado. He was soon developing his own pictures.

From there, he graduated to an Olympus underwater camera. He is challenged by catching just the right shot using his camera of choice, the Sony 7RIII. Morganfield invites you to be curious of his photos and perhaps find one that will bring you happiness and peace.

In addition to viewing their work during the month of January, community members can also attend an Artists Wine & Cheese Reception on Jan. 26 from 4-6 p.m. This event will allow you to meet the artists and enjoy an evening of art appreciation.

RSVPs are required for this event. To RSVP, please email samantha@grandcountyhistory.org or call 970-726-5488.
