Leesburg Center for the Arts will host the 47th Annual Leesburg Art Festival on Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3 on Main Street in Leesburg.
This year’s festival will feature 40 festival artists, including emerging artists, the Harper Printmaking Studio and especially, poster artist Suzanne Zielinski. The twp-day event, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. will show off beautiful downtown Leesburg, with restaurants, stores, and much more. In years past, thousands of attendees and many more online viewers have enjoyed this community event, now re-emerging after the pandemic.
Also featured is a literary festival done in partnership with the Leesburg Public Library, featuring 24 authors/books, art activities for children (including printmaking), the Heart of Florida Model A Club, music, food and beverages.
Saturday performances begin at noon Saturday with Beacon Collage singers at the stage near City Hall, Barbara Gomulka with her piano will perform on Main Street from 1 to 3 p.m., the Leesburg High School Orchesis will give a dance performance at
2pm on the lawn in front of city hall while the improv group, “Not Quite Ripe!”will appear at 3pm on the stage at City Hall.
On Sunday, Barbara Gomulka will play her piano on Main Street from 1pm to 3pm. The Creative Arts Program will present the “Art of Fashion” fashion show in the circle around the fountain at 2 p.m. At 3 p.m. the “not Quite Ripe!” improv will take the stage near City Hall.
