SO I ACTUALLY LIVE IN OKLAHOMA CITY, BUT BEFORE HE ANNOUNCED THE OKLAHOMA CITY DAY, I TRAVELED TO VEGAS AND STOOD IN LINE FOR SEVEN HOURS. BUT OTHERS TRAVELING HOURS. IT WAS ABOUT 3.5 HOURS AND I HAVEN’T. I HAVEN’T SLEPT YET, ACTUALLY. PAYCOM GENERAL MANAGER CHRIS SEMRAU SAYS THE TWO NIGHT CONCERT IS PAY COMES 20TH EVENT AND 24 DAYS IN THE BIGGEST IN THE ARENA’S HISTORY. MORE THAN 60 SEMI TRUCKS LINED THE PARKING LOT. SEMRAU SAYS THE CREW HAS BEEN SETTING THE STAGE SINCE SATURDAY NIGHT. Some of the biggest names in the music industry will take the stage in Oklahoma City on Monday and Tuesday nights. “I actually live in Oklahoma City, but before he announced the Oklahoma City date, I traveled to Vegas and sat in line for seven hours,” said Bobbi Jarmon, a Drake and J. Cole fan. While some of the fans were from Oklahoma, many came from out of state to see the show. “It was about 3 and a half hours, and I haven’t slept yet, actually,” said Jorge Palma, who is attending the concert. Semrau said the two-night concert is Paycom’s 20th event in 24 days, and it is the biggest in the arena’s history. More than 60 semi-trucks lined the parking lot as the crew has worked to set the stage since Saturday night. “We’re bringing in staff, vendors, equipment and services from around the region to be able to execute this high-level event,” Semrau said. “There’s literally thousands of people that have been working on this show, and it’s going to be quite the spectacle.” He said the concert puts Oklahoma City on the map as a premiere spot for A-list artists. “Is off to our biggest year of concerts ever, and after having an artist as influential as Drake play not one but two nights at your venue is a big deal and will help us in the future to recruit even more A-level talent to Oklahoma City,” Semrau said.
