OSHKOSH ― More than 35 local artists will have their work showcased when the Oshkosh Art Collective hosts its third annual Art Show April 6 at The Gibson Social Club, 537 N. Main St.
More than 500 patrons are expected to attend the event, featuring several pieces of art from varying backgrounds.
“The Aer Collective does this show specifically to cultivate an appreciation of local artists in the community because we have some truly amazing and talented people here,” said Jessica Lomena, creator of the Oshkosh Art Collective.
“Overall, the artists say this is a good experience and the response shows that. The first year, we sold out artist spots in two weeks and then the second year those spots were sold out in two days.
“This year, they were sold out in two hours, so they’re showing their appreciation, and as an artist myself, I have the perspective of what they need from a show,” she added.
The event runs from 6 to 10 p.m. at The Gibson Social Club.
