PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Aboriginal Health Council of Western Australia (AHCWA) is inviting Expressions of Interest
(EOI) from experienced Aboriginal artists or arts collectives for the creation of artwork to be
incorporated into exterior building upgrade works of their existing premises at 450 Beaufort
Street, Highgate, Western Australia.
(Note: The term “artist” in this document also includes groups of artists or arts collectives wishing
to submit an EOI)
As part of upgrade works a new landscaped Outdoor Gathering Space is being created at the
front of the building and the existing façade, verandah and carpark are being modified to improve
entry to the building and provide opportunities for artwork to enhance the arrival experience of
staff and visitors.
The artwork is separated into two (2) separate packages. AHCWA’s preference is for one (1) artist
to produce both packages, however may commission two (2) separate artists.
Artists may therefore choose to provide a submission for one (1) or both parts.
Artwork package 1: Painted murals/artwork to walls columns and paths
Artwork Package 2: Entry sculpture and sculptural elements to façade
