The 97th edition of the Academy Awards takes place on March 2 in Los Angeles with the event set to be hosted by Conan O’Brien.
The 61-year-old takes over hosting duties from Jimmy Kimmel, who was in charge in 2023 and 2024 for the third and fourth times.

At the beginning of the month it was confirmed that Robert Downey Jr., Cillian Murphy, Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Emma Stone will be among the presenters at the 97th Oscars.
“Emilia Pérez” leads the way when it comes to multiple category nominations with 13 and other films such as “The Brutalist” and “Wicked,” also expected to triumph on Sunday with both nominated in 10 categories nominations.
Both Anora and Conclave are the bookmakers’ frontrunners to scoop Best Picture with Demi Moore is seen as the favorite for Best Actress, for her performance in The Substance. Best Actor, meanwhile, appears set to go to either Adrien Brody for The Brutalist, or Timothée Chalamet for A Complete Unknown.
Music at the ceremony
News relating to musical guests was drip-fed over the past few days and it appears that Wicked stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo will perform live at the ceremony. Doja Cat, Lisa of Blackpink (and The White Lotus), Queen Latifah and Raye are also earmarked to perform at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday night.
