Former Jupiter CEO becomes chairman at Brooks Macdonald

Maarten Slendebroek has been appointed as chairman at Brooks Macdonald, subject to regulatory approval.

The 62-year-old has most recently been chair director at art investment firm Mintus and before that was CEO at Jupiter, where he worked for seven years.

He has also been chair of the supervisory board of Robeco since August 2020.

He will take the reins from Richard Price, who has completed a nine-year term and intends to step down

Slendebroek said: “I am delighted to be joining Brooks Macdonald at a pivotal point in its history, well-positioned in its market with exceptional adviser and client relationships supporting its ambitious growth strategy.”

Robert Burgess, the senior independent director who led the “rigorous” selection process to appoint a successor to Price, called Slendebroek an “outstanding candidate”.
