The Aiken Artists Guild’s 2024 member show will open May 9.
A reception for Aiken Artists Guild Show will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at the Aiken Center for the Arts. The show runs through June 13.
This annual event showcases the diverse creations of the guild’s members, offering something for every artistic taste. Attendees can vote for the People’s Choice Award. Awards also will given for Best Aiken Scene, and more than $1,900 in prize money will be awarded.
Proceeds from the show support the Aiken Artist Guild’s scholarship fund.
Aiken not only has a vibrant equestrian scene, but is also a celebrated haven for artists.
Curator Kevin Grogan will serve as the show’s judge. Grogan has served as the longtime director and chief curator of the Morris Museum in Augusta, director of the Contemporary Arts Center of Virginia, and director of University Galleries and Collections in the greater Nashville area.
