Y’all means all: This June brings the opportunity to celebrate country music and LGBTQ+ pride simultaneously.

From June 5 to 8, hundreds of artists will flock to downtown Nashville to perform as a part of 2025’s CMA Fest. The festival falls during LGBTQ+ Pride Month, which is celebrated nationally throughout June.

Now in its 52nd year, the massive country music festival has drawn nearly one million concertgoers to Nashville over the past decade.

And according to a 2023 report, nearly 36% of the nation’s total LGBTQ+ population lives in the South.

The audience for country music continues to expand, and as it does, more queer fans are seeing representation from artists both small and large, from Chappell Roan’s sapphic country single to tunes from Orville Peck, Lil Nas X and TJ Obsorne.

CMA Fest’s pride-month kick-off event, “The Concert for Love and Acceptance,” recently celebrated its tenth anniversary with a June 2 show. The night featured a lineup including Dasha, Ingrid Andress, David Archuleta, Brooke Eden, Lindsay Ell, Sam Williams, Tiera Kennedy, Maggie Rose, The Kentucky Gentlemen and Runaway June.

While the festival’s specific pride event may have passed, there will be hundreds of free performances and meet-and-greets in downtown Nashville throughout the festival’s days. At night, there will be ticketed concerts with star-studded lineups at Nissan Stadium and Ascend Amphitheater.

For country music lovers who want to celebrate queer pride and allyship, here are some LGBTQ+ artists to support at CMA Fest.
