They’ll have trouble finding a frame for this one.
A 46,000-square-foot mural spanning 25 stories at Journal Square Urby has added a splash of color to ever-growing Journal Square neighborhood.
Argentinian artist Felipe Pantone was commissioned by Urby to bring an intentional burst of color to the residential building facade, the latest effort in the Jersey City Mural Arts Program.
The work is a continuation of the artist’s ‘Optichromie’ Series.
Symbolizing transformation and digital revolution, this bright and geometric artwork marks the largest art installation and mural the artist has worked on to date.
The 317-unit Urby, by developer David Barry, is expected to open this summer. One of the features of the building will be a curated collection of hand-selected art in the common spaces and each of the apartments.
