OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – Aging is an art… and some of that art is being celebrated in Marion County this month.
The Marion Senior Services and Marion Cultural Alliance are hosting the annual “Art of Aging” exhibit at the Brick City Center for the Arts.
The exhibit celebrates aging in photographs, lectures, and paintings by artists over the age of 55.
“We have a mixture of emerging and professional artists all over 55 that’s the only requirement we have for this exhibit they had to be 55 and older and we had a prompt this year was a moment in time so they captured what they thought was a special moment in their lives or in their time,” said Gallery Director, Ashley Justiniano.
The exhibit reopens on August. 24. at 11 a.m. and runs through August. 31.
Admission is free but a reservation is required.
