A well-known artist’s mural can be seen in a Corona community.
Kelsey Montague’s mural at Bedford South Corona depicts a tree with vibrant flowers, a hummingbird and a swing.
It “captures the essence of life in Corona,” a news release states.
Montague is known for murals in New York City, at Universal CityWalk, in Nashville and in Venice, Calif. Her murals of wings are “some of the most photographed — and Instagram-shared — in the world,” the release states.
Her art also has been featured at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, at the Super Bowl and as far away as Poland. She created the #WhatLiftsYou campaign.
Residents and others gathered Friday, May 17, to celebrate the mural’s unveiling. During the event, some young artists got to meet Montague.
Bedford South Corona is a master-planned community at the city’s southern edge.
