Donna Reierson
Chicago-born Donna Reierson is a graduate of the American Academy of Art in Chicago, majoring in illustration and fine art. Now retired and living in Racine, Donna has gotten back into oil painting while continuing with photography.
“Most everything I do is about my love of nature. I find that nature is so healing for everything, no matter what the ailment is. In my oil paintings and photography, I just try to share the beauty and peace I am constantly seeing and feeling.”
Sam Margarette
Sam Margarette graduated college with a BFA. She began drawing at a young age and learned the basics of textile techniques, (quilting, hand sewing, knitting, crocheting) and art metals in high school. Lately, her focus has been on paintings and fabric and how to combine them.
“My recent subjects have been figure and anatomy studies, and fanciful characters. Whether it’s an entirely flat painting or a mixed media piece, color and texture play a large role in my process. Either entirely visual, or physically tactile, I do my best to render or find the textures that best relate to a mood or idea I’m looking to convey.”
James L. Neibaur
James L. Neibaur is known for being a film historian and scholar with over 35 published books to his credit, but he is also an artist. He draws and paints, working with a variety of media. In May he will be presenting his edgier, more offbeat works.
