Artists are invited to bring their brushes to the blooms in Auburn this June for a unique plein air event supporting Seymour Library.
The Friends of Seymour Library will host a Garden Tour and Plein Air fundraiser on Saturday, June 14, featuring access to ten private gardens and several public spaces across the Auburn area. Proceeds from the day-long event will benefit programs and services at the library.
Participating artists will check in at Hoopes Park from 9:30 to 10 a.m., then head to the garden of their choice to begin painting. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., artists will capture the vibrant landscapes before delivering their work to Seymour Library for a wet paint exhibition.
A $100 gift card from Nash’s Framing & Art will go to the winner of a “People’s Choice” award, announced at 4 p.m.
The event requires pre-registration and a $15 donation. Artists must request and complete a participation form by emailing [email protected]. Forms and payments can be mailed to the Friends of Seymour Library or dropped off at the library’s front desk.
The event is organized by the Friends of Seymour Library, a nonprofit group that supports literacy, highlights library services, and raises funds to strengthen the library’s offerings.
