TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — CityBus and The Arts Federation are inviting Indiana artists to add their work to pedestrian bus shelters throughout Tippecanoe County.
Artists must be 18 years and older and need to submit examples of their work for consideration.
The chosen artists will make a custom design for one of four bus shelters with the help of a graphic designer.
TAF’s CEO Tetia Lee shared more on the project.
“We are just asking artists to submit samples of their work and then they will vet them and then we’ll get into contact with those artists and they will design something specifically for one of the bus shelters,” said Lee.
Lee shared that is a great opportunity for local artists.
“This is a great opportunity to get your stuff in the public eye if you’ve never done something in a municipality or something that would benefit the community. This is a great chance to really showcase your artwork to a bunch of people that will see it all the time,” Lee said.
Finished designs by the chosen artists will be transferred to vinyl then put on the bus shelters.
Submissions are due by April 7 and the chosen artists will receive $750.
