CHELAN — The annual Lake Chelan Arts Festival drew crowds to Riverwalk Park from June 21-23, showcasing the work of over 35 artists in a diverse display of creativity and craftsmanship.
The three-day event, organized by the Lake Chelan Arts Council, featured a wide array of artistic mediums, including paintings, sculptures, and handcrafted items such as colorful wind chimes. Visitors had the opportunity to purchase artwork directly from the creators, supporting local and regional artists.
In addition to the art exhibitions and sales, the festival offered a variety of activities for attendees. A Silent Art Auction allowed patrons to bid on select pieces, while children’s art activities encouraged young participants to explore their creative sides. Live music performances and freshly-prepared food added to the festive atmosphere.
The Lake Chelan Arts Council, a volunteer-driven organization, uses the annual festival as a platform to further its mission of supporting art and artists in the community. The council’s year-round efforts include organizing art exhibits, offering scholarships to graduating seniors, and procuring artwork for public display.
This family-friendly event, held annually on the fourth weekend of June, has become a staple in the Lake Chelan community calendar. Organizers anticipate continued success in future years, drawing both locals and tourists to celebrate the arts in this picturesque Washington setting.
