The City of Burien has announced a Call for Artists for its 2025 Burien Gallery Program.
There is a $250 artist stipend for The Maverick and Merrill Gardens, and a $50 artist stipend for the Burien Community Center.
This call is open to artists residing in Washington State, and the application deadline for artists is 5 p.m. on Aug. 23, 2024.

About the Exhibition Program
The gallery program offers three location options for displaying artwork:
- Burien Community Center Lobby (14700 6th Ave SW): This location is for 2D artworks only, featuring a two-month exhibit with a $50 artist stipend.
- Maverick Apartments Window (150th & 6th Ave SW): This venue accepts both 2D and 3D artworks for a four-month exhibit with a $250 artist stipend.
- Merrill Gardens Senior Living Windows (4th & 150th SW): Artists can display 2D or 3D artworks in this location for a four-month exhibit with a $250 artist stipend.
Other Details:
- Insurance coverage not provided for artwork in Gallery Program.
- Transportation, install and removal of artworks is responsibility of artist.
- Wall tags and promotion provided.

- Works will be juried, and you will be notified by beginning of October.
- Incomplete applications may not be considered.
