The Library of Virginia announces an Open Call to Artists for the 2024 First Fridays exhibitions on “Virginia Stories!”
Virginia artists may explore your experiences, observations, communities and culture. The deadline for submissions to our initial First Fridays Feb. show is Jan. 20.

A general call for artists for the May, Sept. and Nov. First Fridays is open now through Oct. 10, 2024, with the deadlines below. Your selected artwork will be assigned to one or more of these exhibition dates. If you have a preference, indicate this in your submission and we will accommodate as we are able.
First Fridays at the Library of Virginia:
Feb 2 – “Virginia Stories: Portraits” (submissions due by Jan. 20)
May 3 – “Virginia Stories: Indigenous Community” (submissions due by April 10)
Sept 6 – “Virginia Stories: Underground Art” (submissions due by Aug. 10)
Nov 1 – “Virginia Stories: Architecture” (submissions due by Oct. 10)
