The Rock the Ridge Christian Music Festival has returned to Sabetha and will be held Saturday, Aug. 24, at the outdoor grounds of NorthRidge Church in Sabetha.
The festival is free, which is the result of several generous sponsorships and private donations.
The festival grounds open at 4 p.m., and artists will begin performing at 5 p.m. The event will feature five Christian music bands and artists — Unspoken, Riley Clemmons, Stephen Stanley, RENEE and The Band JAREN.
In addition to music, attendees will have access to food, drinks and treats from area food trucks and vendors.
Attendees cannot bring outside food and drinks inside the festival.
Other entertainment will include bounce houses, slides and obstacle courses, offered free for children of all ages.
Because the event is outdoors, attendees are advised to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. If a shower or storm passes through while the event is proceeding outside, event organizer Brad Lippert said the event will “hit the pause button” and then resume when the inclement weather has cleared.
The event will proceed outdoors unless the weather forecast projects severe weather or rain most of the day, according to Lippert. Should that occur, the event will be moved inside NorthRidge Church.
