The fifth annual Duncan Area Arts Hall of Fame Spectacular will take place this month on Saturday, Jan. 27.
LoisDawn Jones will serve as the emcee for the night, and the inductees this year will include Duncan Little Theatre, Billy Joe Foster, Michael Harris, Ben Herrington, David Pittman-Jennings, Danny Miller, Cindy Parks and Phillip Perkins. The performers will include Southwest Pride Barbershop Chorus, Heartbeat Dance Company, Reflections Show Choir, Duncan Little Theatre, and Cindy, Kenny and Blake Parks.
Hannah Helbig will provide the music on her harp at various times throughout the first part of the show and at the reception following the event.
In addition to the entertainers and inductees, four organizations will award people in the community who have greatly impacted their groups. The Chisholm Trail Arts Council will award Dave Young. Chisholm Trail Heritage Center will recognize George Rhoades. Duncan Little Theater will honor Teresa Blalock and Beth Cowan. Heartbeat Dance has selected Christy Estep as their award recipient. Art displayed from local artists, hors’douvres, live music, and an open bar will be at the reception.
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by stopping by the office, calling the Simmons Center at 580-252-2900 or ordering online via the Simmons Center website at simmonscenter.com. General tickets are $35 for the show and the reception afterwards. The show begins at 6:30 p.m. VIP tickets are $75.
VIP ticket holders will receive the perks of a special section for parking, closer seating to the stage, an additional meet-and-greet reception with the visual artists at 5:30 p.m., the reception following the event, and their name put in a drawing for a Glenda Cobb original. VIP ticket holders must be present at the event to win her piece of artwork.
