EAST SUSSEX, UK (CelebrityAccess) – Wise Music Group (WMG), the entity behind Edition Peters Artist Management (EPAM), has revealed a strategic move involving the transfer of artists from EPAM’s roster to Podium Music, now under the leadership of Robin Tyson. This decision signifies EPAM’s departure from the artist management sector.
While EPAM and its publishing components remain under WMG’s majority ownership, the recent shift marks a change in the direction of EPAM’s involvement in artist management. WMG took control of EPAM just over a year ago and subsequently sold its sheet music business to Faber Music.
Tyson, who led EPAM for 13 years, played a crucial role in shaping the careers of notable artists, including Voces8, Apollo5, Eriks Esenvalds, Ola Gjeilo, and Zeb Soanes.
Despite the transition, Tyson will maintain ties with WMG by continuing to collaborate on choral publishing projects with EPAM composers such as Jonathan Dove, Roxanna Panufnik, Roderick Williams, and others.
Expressing his sentiments on the development, Tyson stated, “It has been a wonderful journey to build EPAM, and I am immensely proud of what has been achieved over the past 13 years. wantke to put on record my sincere thanks to the directors and staff of Edition Peters for their vision and support since 2009.”
He expressed optimism about the future, stating, “I am excited to continue working with such talented artists under the banner of Podium Music. The music industry continues to evolve, and I am confident that this new chapter will bring fresh opportunities and continued success for everyone involved.”
EPAM chairman Chris Butler said: “We wish Robin every success with Podium Music and look forward to working with him in the many areas of shared interest with Edition Peters and Wise Music Group.” The move reflects the dynamic nature of the music industry, and both Edition Peters and Podium Music are poised for new opportunities in this evolving landscape.
