Five musicians who tragically died on stage

Regardless of whether you are looking at older artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney and Joan Baez or new performers like Sam Fender, The Last Dinner Party and English Teacher, artists put everything into their craft. This is incredibly commendable, but there are some sad instances where they give a little bit too much. We often hear about artists pushing their bodies to the edge in their personal lives, and when they combine this with the pressure that comes with being a public figure, they often push themselves too far, which can lead to devastating circumstances.

Of course, there is the infamous and so-called ’27 Club’—an exclusive club that seems to unite a number of talented artists who passed away well before their time. Artists like Amy Winehouse, Jimi Hendrix, and Kurt Cobain are all members of the morbid club, which acts as a constant reminder of what can happen when the pressure of fame and the perils that come with everyday life combine.

While all these artists passed away before their time, none died on stage. That’s an even more exclusive club that only applies to very few artists throughout history. It can make for a harrowing read and is an awful way to go for both the artists, their families, and their fans.

Here, we will be discussing the artists who passed away on stage during a performance. Some of them were pronounced dead at the scene, while others were taken to hospital and passed away later that night.
