Lovers & Friends is officially back. On Jan. 23, the music festival unveiled this year’s featured artists, including Latine talent like Fat Joe, Nina Sky, and Trina. Lovers & Friends will take place at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds in Las Vegas, NV, on May 4.
Produced by Live Nation and Redrock Entertainment, the massive festival headliners include Usher, Janet Jackson, and the Backstreet Boys. Other stellar artists include Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Gwen Stefani, Nas, Alicia Keys, and Nelly Furtado. As far as Latines go, featured names include Nuyorican rapper Fat Joe, American-Chinese-Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Kelis, and American-Dominican rapper Trina. The American-Puerto Rican singers Lumidee and Nina Sky, as well as Mexican-American artist Paula DeAnda are also gracing the stage this year. Other non-Latine acts include Timbaland, Ciara, and T-Pain.
Part of this year’s exciting slots include Lil Wayne performing his smash album Tha Carter III from start to finish and Usher performing his popular album Confessions, which was released 20 years ago.
