Here Are the Latine Artists Performing at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards

Plenty of Latine artists will perform at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards next month. Among the line-up are Rauw Alejandro, Karol G, Anitta, and more.

Earlier this month, the first round of performers was revealed. Among the few Latine acts announced at the time was Rauw Alejandro. He received three nominations for his cinematic “Touching the Sky” music video, including Best Latin, Best Cinematography, and Best Choreography. The Puerto Rican superstar is expected to make his VMAs debut with a performance of a song from his upcoming fifth album.

This morning, more performers were added to the line-up, including Brazilian singer Anitta. Up for three awards, she is tied with Rauw as the Latine artists with most nominations this year. Anitta is nominated twice in the Best Latin category for “Mil Veces” and her collaboration “Bellakeo” with Mexican singer Peso Pluma. She will bring more Latine talent to the stage during her performance. Anitta will sing a medley of hits that will include “Savage Funk,” “Alegría,” and “Paradise” with special appearances from Fat Joe, Tiago PZK, and DJ Khaled.

Karol G was also added to the line-up of VMAs performers. The Colombian superstar is nominated this year for Best Latin for the Selena-inspired “Mi Ex Tenía Razón.” She will most likely perform her recent smash hit “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido,” which has climbed to No. 7 on Spotify’s Top 50 Global chart. Karol G won her first Moon Person last year for Best Collaboration for “TQG” alongside Shakira.

Camila Cabello will also hit the stage with a performance of a song from latest album C, XOXO. The Cuban-Mexican singer is the sole Latina in the Best Pop category this year. BLACKPINK’s LISA is also scheduled to perform, so there’s a chance Rosalía could join her to sing their collaboration “New Woman.”

Other artists performing include Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, GloRilla, and Shawn Mendes. The VMAs will air live on MTV from the UBS Arena in Belmont Park, NY, on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
