Holiday art shows feature local artists

Two of the city’s most popular holiday-themed art shows, offering works by local artists, are now open.

Objets d’Art will be running Nov. 17-19 at Liggett Studio, 314 S. Kenosha Ave.

Gallery owner Steve Liggett began hosting this show and sale in 1980, offering works by local artists that would make for artful gifts, and that were reasonably priced.

This year’s event will include 55 Tulsa-area artists, working in all manner of media. No item in the show will be priced more than $250.

“It’s a great way to get a unique work of art as a gift for the ones you love, and it helps support local artists so that they can have a happy holiday also,” Liggett said.

Hours for the show are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17; 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18; and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19. liggettstudio.com.
