Jason Aldean topped the list of the most Google-trending artists in the U.S. in 2023, recently-released Google Year in Search data show. Search trends also revealed the award-winning country star’s Highway Desperado track that stirred controversy earlier this year, “Try That in A Small Town,” was the top-trending song.
Other country artists to appear on the Top 10 most-trending musicians in the U.S. list include Oliver Anthony and Kellie Pickler, coming in at No. 3 and No. 8, respectively. Country songs appearing on the Top 10 list of most-trending songs in the U.S. in 2023 include Aldean’s “Try That In A Small Town” at No. 1, and Anthony’s “Rich Men North of Richmond” at No. 2.
Aldean also appears on the Top 10 highest-trending musicians list on a global scale, among other genre-spanning artists. Worldwide, Aldean arrives at No. 2, and Pickler remains at No. 8. “Try That In A Small Town” also comes in at No. 2 on the global list, and Anthony’s “Rich Men North of Richmond” ranks No. 8.
Google’s 2023 trends also break out the most-searched news events, people, passings, actors, athletes, movies, museums and other categories, globally and by country. The lists examine artists and others to experience a significant spike in search traffic this year. Google Trends reveals “questions we shared, the people who inspired us, and the moments that captured the world’s attention each year.”
