— Lakes Area Artists will host their 27th annual fine art show and sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 5-6, at the Journey Church in Nisswa.
Lakes Area Artists, a collective of professional artists from the central lakes region and beyond, has hosted its annual sales for over 25 years.
This year’s event will feature several new artists, expanding the variety and originality of the art on display.
Participating artists include David Barthel, Bill Grange, Aryn and Courtney Kern, Dan MacLaughlin, Jerry Raedeke, Ken Ramler and Kari Townsdin.
The show will exhibit and offer for sale an eclectic mix of artwork, including acrylic and watercolor paintings, fine woodworking, printmaking, large scale photography, pottery and more.
“The diversity of art forms represented ensures that there will be something for everyone to appreciate and take home,” Barthel, the lead organizer of this year’s show, said in a news release.
The event is free and open to the public, providing an opportunity to support local artists and find unique, high-quality pieces of art.
