SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – An ArkLaTex Artistry spotlighted hip-hop artist continues her musical journey with her new EP.
On July 26, Shreveport’s own, Mimzy MC, hip hop artist and rapper, releases a new EP titled, “Never Saw Me Coming”.
Mimzy was previously interviewed, by ArkLaTex Artistry’s Brittney Hazelton, in an in-depth look at her and her work. She uses hip-hop and rap as a way to cope with trauma in her life, gained from domestic abuse. As a survivor, the new EP continues her journey in the music world, combining high lyrical energy and deep messages.
She is versatile within the Shreveport-Bossier community and is part of multiple community organizations. Her impact is one geared towards raising awareness of freeing oneself from abuse and mental imprisonment to finding self-love and living life again to the fullest.

Never Saw Me Coming features, Shreveport rap artists Big Round (Jeremy Horton), and Big Poon (Marcus Carson who added their own talents and lyrical truths to the work.
