NKollectiv, 960 Santa Fe Drive, regularly features a delightful selection of styles and techniques and it is freshening up the gallery this month with new works that are sure to brighten up the winter doldrums. “ReMix” is on view through Feb. 11. Work by guest artist SA Bennett will be featured alongside member artists Kelly Austin-Rolo, Rita Bhasin, Craig Demmon, Naomi Gagnon, Steve Girard, Nicole Korbe, Krista Lavonas, Michele Messenger, Carolyn Miller, Jerry Severns, and Carol Till.
The exhibition is on view during regular gallery hours and during these other special events:
- Sundays on Santa Fe Art Walk: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 28, and
- First Friday Art Walk: from opening until 9 p.m. Feb. 2.
SA Bennett is primarily a figurative painter whose work celebrates the African diaspora. As a bi-racial artist originally from Jamaica, she is influenced and inspired by the African evolution into various cultures over hundreds of years. She enjoys the vibrancy and forgiveness of painting with acrylic but in her recent works has been exploring ink resist, cold-wax and oil techniques, finding they each have a magic of their own. Her slow pivot toward abstraction of real objects is fueled by the introduction of these techniques to create new paths in her evolution. Bennett has lived in the U.S. for more than 40 years and has worked as an art educator and artist for most of that time.

NKollectiv is a curated space for local Colorado artists to display and sell their work, grow their practice, and interact with collectors.
