Noyes Art Gallery patron Mary Belka recently honored three of the gallery’s artists with fellowships for their outstanding artistic growth over the last year: E Elder (painting and illustration), Angi Stilwell (mixed media) and Kevin Baker (sculpture and painting).
In addition to purchasing art, Belka wanted to do more to support local artists. So she worked with Noyes to develop the Belka Fellowship to help sustain three working artists. The award, based on the artists’ growth and expanding creative vision, was presented to Elder, Stilwell and Baker in December.
