TODAY. THE 50TH AND FINAL OMAHA SUMMER ARTS FESTIVAL CONTINUES IN AKSARBEN VILLAGE. THERE’S DOZENS OF ARTISTS, LIVE MUSIC AND ATTRACTIONS HAPPENING ALL WEEKEND. IT IS OSF’S FINAL SEASON AS ORGANIZERS SAY COST INCREASES ARE FORCING THEM TO SHUTTER THE BELOVED FAMILY FESTIVAL. ARTISTS SAY THEY’RE HOPEFUL SOMEONE PICKS UP THE FESTIVAL AND CONTINUES IT TO GIVE EXPOSURE TO THE ARTS COMMUNITY. VERY SAD. THIS IS ONLY MY SECOND YEAR, SO KIND OF KIND OF SAD TO SEE IT GO. Artists hope someone will pick up Omaha Summer Arts Festival and continue the tradition

I’m in Des Moines now, but I grew up in Council Bluffs and this was the first arts festival I ever went to as a kid.
