RodeoHouston unveiled a genre list for the musical acts of the 2024 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The genre calendar gives event-goers just a hint of a long-awaited performing lineup that’ll take the stage at next year’s rodeo.

A full lineup of those artists is set to release around 7 p.m. on Jan. 11.

The shows will kick off Feb. 27 next year when a country artist will emerge for the first day of the rodeo. Running through March 17, 20 artists will perform in total. Here’s the genre lineup.

The genre lineup aligns like most Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo lineups in the past. Last year’s lineup was packed with country artists, an EDM act and a few pop artists.

The headlining artists will take the dark and dusty stage in the middle of the rodeo arena after the final acts of the night. Most performers start around 9 p.m. on weekdays and 5 p.m. on weekends.

In a newer development, RodeoHouston this year is giving restless speculators the opportunity to guess the artist lineup. The winner will be granted an all-inclusive, 18-person suite for one performance.

Guessing entries can be submitted to the Guess the Lineup RodeoHouston webpage until 11:59 p.m. Dec. 15. Only one entry per email address can be submitted a day, and the contest winner will be notified after the lineup announcement.

Tickets to the rodeo can be purchased on the RodeoHouston website, with season passes starting at $55 per person. A list of other rodeo events, like a bar-b-que contest and rodeo 5k and 10k races, can also be found online.
