SAUGERTIES, N.Y. — The Saugerties Artists Studio Tour returns this weekend featuring open houses at the studios of 45 artists across the town and village.
Studios will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 and Sunday, Aug. 11, where visitors can view completed works and works in progress from artists working across a wide range of mediums and styles, an announcement said.
Among participating artists are painters working in oils, acrylics, watercolors and inks as well as digital tools; collage makers and printmakers; photographers, sculptors using materials ranging from polished steel or industrial debris and found objects; and ceramic artists whose work ranges from figurative to functional to funk, the organizers said.
The tour also features artisans including furniture makers, and textile artists weaving and spinning and handmade fashion accessories, the organizers said.
New this year, visitors can meet with artists who specialize in installation art, the organizers said.
