Shohei Ohtani inspires artists to paing two murals after being a Dodger for only a few days


Shohei Othani who recently made the best deal in sports for signing a 10-year contract for $700 Million with the Dodgers,is inspiring local artists in Los Angeles to paint murals in his honor, specifically street artists Jonas Never and Gustavo Zermeno Jr.

Never took the Prociety shop and turned it into Sho-Time, a great mural made by the artist who has also dedicated paintings for LeBron James and Anthony Bourdain painted a piece near Downtown Los Angeles at 1501 S. Main Street on the corner of 15th and Main.

Meanwhile, Gustavo Zermeño Jr. who has also dedicated murals to other outstanding figures such as Mac Miller, Nipsey Hustle, Kobe Bryant, Vicente Fernandez, James Harden and Bad Bunny among others, painted his take on 33rd at Manhattan Ave. in Hermosa Beach.

While being interviewed by NBC4 News, Zermeño commented “Originally, we were going to do a full Kings wall and then do the Dodgers and the Lakers on the other side on the opposite side of the building,” he added “But with the Ohtani signing, we thought it deserved the prominent side of the wall; something a little more visible from the street.
