Star Wars Star Hayden Christensen Signs With Independent Artist Group – The Hollywood Reporter

Hayden Christensen, who has played Anakin Skywalker in various Star Wars movies and series, has signed with Independent Artist Group for representation.

The actor famously nabbed the coveted part of the heroic yet tragic young man who would become Darth Vader in George LucasStar Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and concluded his fall from grace with Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.

Seventeen years later, he reprised his role for the Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi, a massive hit for the streamer, and the recently finished Ahsoka, which also proved to be a hit.

The signing with IAG is a full-circle moment as it sees the actor reteaming with the person who signed him as he was ascending with Star Wars back in the early 2000s. IAG CEO Jim Osborne signed the Canadian thespian with iconic agent Ed Limato when the two reps were at ICM — Limato passed away in 2010 — and over the two next two decades, the pair’s paths converged and diverted several times.

“Ed Limato and I signed Hayden Christensen early in his career and it’s wonderful to be reunited with my old friend,” said Osborne in a statement.

Christensen, who took a career hiatus, has been resurging due to the renewed fan interest in Star Wars and his portrayal of Anakin. His additional credits include Doug Liman’s action movie Jumper, Billy Ray’s New York Times drama Shattered Glass, his 2001 breakout Life as a House, and Sofia Coppola’s The Virgin Suicides, among others.

IAG has sent a lightning bolt through the agency landscape since CAA’s acquisition of ICM. APA signed 17 former ICM agents and greatly expanded its talent, touring, reality and lit roster and then, after its merger with AGI, picked up arena and touring acts such as Billy Joel and Metallica.

It has not left the acting side motionless and this year alone upped the star quotient in that department by signing names such as Regina Hall, William H. Macy, John Cusack, Terrence Howard, Donnie Yen and Martin Lawrence.
