NORFOLK, VA – July 16, 2024 – Legendary post-punk band Starving Artists are excited to release the latest installment of their 1986 EP digital Remixed & Remastered project: a reimagined version of “Model Without A Cause,” now streaming on all major platforms.

This self-produced effort features newly recorded musical tracks that enhance the song’s textural layers, creating a louder, richer, and more dynamic sound. Fans of the original “Model Without A Cause” will be pleased to know that the song’s fundamental core remains unchanged.

“We didn’t have the budget for all the studio time we wanted back in ’85,” says guitarist Ralph M. Gerth IV. “Now, with home studios and song sharing, we can experiment and introduce brand new elements along with old ideas that were never realized. For ‘Model,’ we added new instrument layers and revised every track in a way that really elevates the final mix.

“Model Without A Cause” originally appeared on Starving Artists’ self-titled EP, recorded at New York’s Secret Society Studios and released on Vince Records.

Alongside the audio release, a new music video for “Model Without A Cause” is available on the Starving Artists YouTube channel.
