Both Stray Kids and TXT made the list of the top 10 best-selling albums of 2023 in the United States!
On January 10 local time, the American music data tracking firm Luminate (formerly MRC Data) released its year-end report for 2023. The tracking period for the year began on December 30, 2022 and ran through December 28, 2023.
Stray Kids was the second best-selling artist of 2023 in the United States in terms of album sales, bested only by Taylor Swift. According to Luminate, Stray Kids sold an impressive 1.205 million copies (physical and digital sales combined) across their albums in 2023.
In a list that was almost entirely dominated by Taylor Swift, Stray Kids and TXT were the only Korean artists to make the top 10.
The inclusion of Stray Kids’ and TXT’s albums is all the more impressive considering that they were not available on vinyl—and the sales figures used for this list include vinyl LP albums, which outsold CD albums in the United States last year.
Two of Stray Kids’ albums made the list for 2023: their studio album “★★★★★ (5-STAR)” took No. 5, while their recent mini album “ROCK-STAR” came in at No. 10.
Meanwhile, TXT’s mini album “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” made the list at No. 7.
The top 10 best-selling albums of 2023 in the United States (physical and digital sales combined) are as follows:
- Taylor Swift – “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” (1.975 million)
- Taylor Swift – “Midnights” (973,000)
- Taylor Swift – “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” (908,000)
- Travis Scott – “Utopia” (575,000)
- Stray Kids – “★★★★★ (5-STAR)” (526,000)
- Taylor Swift – “Folklore” (466,000)
