ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) – For the artists in the area, Sunflower Van Geaux art studio is a destination for art lessons and paint parties, and it’s located in Alexandria at 6501 Coliseum Blvd.
Sunflower Van Geaux just hit its one-year mark of being opened.
During a lesson held on August 13, aspiring artists learned how to draw their own creations by layering and blending colors of their choosing. The studio also taught them how to use the burnishing technique.
The owner, Allie Robertson, spoke about why she opened this art studio and some events that are coming up.
“It’s definitely because I want people to learn more about art, learn their style, just have fun with it,” said Robertson. “We have a bunch of acrylic events coming up, some alcohol markers, color pencil lessons. Along with watercolor, a lot of fun activities. It’s great for adults, children, anyone can come. You can have a little date with your spouse or even with your child and just explore all the little media we have.”
You can message them on their Facebook page or visit their website to sign up for any events you might be interested in!
