ABOUT SAINT LAURENT
Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury prêt-à-porter in a 1966 collection called ‘Rive Gauche’, synonymous with youth and freedom. This shift represented a first critical step in the modernization of fashion and revolutionized the socio-cultural landscape.
In 1999, the luxury goods division of the Kering Group acquired Yves Saint Laurent and, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016, continues to position the house at the summit of the luxury universe.
Today, Saint Laurent collections include women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties and eyewear.
ROLE
Whitin the Merchandise Planning team, you will oversee the planning management of two very visible and fast-growing categories from the definition of the Open to Buy to the delivery in stores. Indeed, you will be in charge of Accessories (ie Bijoux, Textile, Hats…) and Rive Droite / Life style (ie selection of exclusive pieces of the brand and collaborations with other artists; mixing fashion, art and culture). Even if those categories are linked to fashion, trends, image, they are also a very strong businesses that need to be monitored in a very precise way.
So in that context, your main responsibilities for those businesses will be:
1/ Business planning

Define and maintain the sales plan according to the global product launch plan & regional development plan in collaboration with all teams involved.

Reforecast at each financial milestone according to the current trends and company targets.

Cascade the plan to the regions.

Define the Open to Buy and follow the monthly spending of the buyers for Lifestyle / Rive Droite
2/ New season and product launches implementation and follow up

Follow up with production until the delivery in warehouse.

Ensure the on time in store delivery.

Set up and manage the replenishment with the region Merchandising teams.
3/ Carry over products reordering

Align and validate the monthly forecast by SKU according to the stores opening plan and product seasonality.

Define the monthly needs according to the forecast and set the demand plan,

Share with production,
-
Place the orders in the IT system,

Follow up with production the deliveries vs plan.
4/ Manage and develop the team (3 people)

Provide direction to the team, inspiring and motivating members to achieve goals and objectives.

Manage and facilitate change within the team helping them to adapt to processes, structures, tools….

Support the professional development of team members.
PROFIL
Master degree in engineering or management.
7 to 10 years of experience in a buying or a planning function including an experience in management teams ideally in the retail and /or luxury environment. Quite used in dealing with product assortments, development plans, management of stocks, OTB, profitability of the business….
Good understanding of products allocation and replenishment
Strong analytical and synthesis skills
Good ability to explain and make oral and written presentations.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills as a manager but also as a team player in a more global environment
Ability to work with strong rhythm and be in a multi-tasking mode.
Master in Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge of Power BI and Anaplan considered as a strong plus
English fluent mandatory, French and Italian as a plus
