A FREE art exhibition is being held by one Clare native for an entire month.
‘Nature Decides’ is an art exhibition by Marianne Potterton will take place in Scariff Library Gallery, Clare.
From November 21 to December 22, Marianne’s work will be on display for all to see.
With 25 years of experience working as a professional artist, Marianne graduated with a first-class honours degree in painting and a masters in European fine art.
Based in Doolin, her practice spans across and connects a diverse range of disciplines, from painting and poetry to long distance walking and working with found materials.
Her studio has been opened to the public for the past 10 years holding exhibitions, workshops and events. Working in the community as well as exhibiting her work in galleries, Marianne’s art is in many private collections globally.
Her current exhibition of paintings is from a new series of ink on canvas works. For her most recent project, Marianne has been going back almost every day to a particular place to walk and spend time between painting in her studio, and seeing how this kind of pilgrimage impacts her paintings over a month.
