Rally Festival returns for a second year. With community, collaboration and discovery at the core of this event, Rally promises a day of great music backed by the biggest art institutions that the country has to offer. Join us at Southwark Park on Saturday, August 24th, to experience a compelling range of experimental live acts and visual artists.
This year’s lineup is spearheaded by UK electronic music duo Mount Kimbie off the back of their excellent new album, the sunset violent. Other acts include the abstract hip-hop duo Armand Hammer, made up of Billy Woods and Elucid. Their 2023 project, We buy diabetic test strips, solidified their title of undergound hip-hop royalty. Baltimore native Nourished by Time burst onto the scene last year with his debut album, Erotic Probiotic 2. The album received critical acclaim, including 5th place on Billboards 2023 Albums of the Year list.
More performances from ML Buch, pioneering the exciting Danish experimental electronic music scene. Bar italia, the London-based indie rock band formed by Nina Cristante (NINA), Sam Fenton and Jezmi Fehmi. With two outstanding releases in 2023, this group deserves nothing less than a spot on this lineup.
When I first heard about Rally, the one thing that caught my eye, aside from the exceptional lineup, of course, was the extensive list of partners/curators. NTS Radio, The Tate, Southbank Centre, to name a few, alongside some smaller upcoming ventures like Dijonss by Bone Soda and Ormside projects. The collaborative, community aspect that Rally is built on really sets it apart from the rest.
