Entries for the prestigious Redland Art Awards 2024 are now open, with each entrant able to submit up to three painted 2D works for consideration before the 8 October closing deadline. The biennial contemporary painting competition is open to all Australian artists.
Coordinated by Redland Art Gallery (RAG), the Redland Art Awards 2024 features five prizes including an acquisitive first prize of $20,000, second prize of $6,000, third prize of $3,000, Meredith Foxton’s people’s choice award of $1,000 and a RAMP Member’s Choice award of $500.
Redland Art Gallery are also pleased to announce our lead judge for 2024 will be Steven Alderton, Director and CEO of the National Art School, Sydney and former Director of the Redland Art Gallery during the establishment of the gallery 21 years ago.
A pre-selection panel of local art industry experts will short-list a selection of works for final judging.
The Redland Art Awards 2024 will culminate in an exhibition featuring finalists’ artwork to be held at RAG Cleveland, from Sunday 8 December 2024 to Tuesday 28 January 2025.
Entries close on Tuesday 8 October, 2024 at 3pm AEST.
