As part of its policy of supporting the creative sector, the Ministry of Culture acquires works of art annually on behalf of the State.
The works from this collection are made available to ministries and government administrations as well as within the framework of loans to cultural institutions.
With the development of this collection, the Ministry of Culture also seeks to contribute to the safeguarding and enhancement of the country’s cultural heritage.
The call launched by the Ministry of Culture is addressed to all artists working in the field of visual arts.
The selection is open to Luxembourg artists, artists residing in Luxembourg or with proven cultural roots in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Each artist can submit up to three works and the maximum purchase price is set at 18,000 euros.
