Techno Festival in Spain announces its new edition introducing over 30 visual artists working with Blockchain

Pole, a project with a multi-functional token born from a community movement on the Tezos blockchain to celebrate art, decentralization and creativity, is bringing an array of talent to the festival’s latest edition with the support of the Galician Government, Deputación de Lugo, Concello de Sarria, Tezos Foundation and Estrella Galicia.

After a successful first virtual event “CTRL+ALT+REVOLT” organized with the creative studio “Here and Now,” Pole continues its mission of supporting and showcasing art in new audiences with a showcase of unique art experiences at the latest edition of the Ribela Music Festival taking place on July 26 and 27, 2024, from 20:00 to 04:00, at an enchanting open-air location in Ribela, 1, in the Galician town of Sarria, Spain, at the heart of Camino the Santiago.

Ribela Love Nature, an open-air, sustainable techno event commemorates its third edition in a synergy of art and music, by featuring over 100 different artworks from more than 30 visual artists, more than 20 NFT artwork for sale, and two days full of music in more than 15 live acts and DJ sets.

Highlights of the music lineup include Identified Patient, one of the Netherlands’ most revered underground DJs, and Eduardo de la Calle, boasting a 26-year production career with releases on labels like Planet E Communications, Semantica, and Cadenza. Additionally, Cemento Musgo, a new audiovisual group featuring Sokram (Dios Ke te Crew), producer Coio, and artist A.L. Crego, will present their debut “visualbum.” Spanish artist Alicia Carrera, Hivern label manager and electronic music culture icon, will also perform, alongside Promising/Youngster, an IDM live act known for their analog machinery.

The art exhibition will highlight a 2.5 x 4.5 meter LED stage screen showcasing live code-driven art by Andreas Gysin -experimental and procedural, characterized by a kinetic and generative nature- and Kim Asendorf -the creator of the modern pixel sorting technique-, Somfay’s analog video art, the Italian sound artist Cris War or Purz a researcher, artist and proponent of AI-driven art. Together with more than a dozen projections -many of them in touchable and elastic round screens distributed across the 5.000 square meters of nature-, art will transform the festival area in an otherworldly space full of movement, interactive lighting, and colors. Visitors and artists will enjoy an intimate and familiar event – limited to 500 attendees – that fosters a close connection between art and viewers, nested within an enchanting natural landscape and a camping area on a tranquil riverbed.
