The Toorak Village Sculpture Exhibition is on again for 2024 with a new date and a brand-new upgraded street…. gorgeous brass inlaid pavements, classy furniture, Crepe Myrtle trees and 11 permanent street sculptures.
Starting Sunday 1st September to Sunday 13th October, the Toorak Village Sculpture Exhibition is a 6-week event where we turn the Toorak Village into a street gallery. Contemporary sculptural works are exhibited in the shop windows of the small businesses along Toorak Road and side streets, with large sculptures bolted along the sidewalks of Toorak Village.
The Toorak Village Sculpture Exhibition was initiated by Ken Scarlett OAM in 2002 who excited the committee of the business association to stage an innovative exhibition of sculpture, linking the arts with business. This will be the 21st year of exhibiting Australian made sculpture and supporting 100’s of artists in the Toorak Village over the years.
The exhibition is curated by Malcolm Thomson, who will bring fresh ideas to support both the artists and the businesses in making the village a unique destination for sculpture.
We are now Calling for Entries (1st March to 30th April 2024). Small to medium sized sculpture for exhibition in the shop windows and large extremely robust exterior sculptures to be bolted to footpaths along Toorak Road. All sculpture submissions must be original and made in Australia.
The Toorak Village Sculpture Exhibition is presented and managed by the Toorak Village Traders Association, supported by Stonnington City Council and the businesses of Toorak Village.
