Program Details: The Art Annex in Park Slope offers visual art programming of all ages: early childhood (18 months – 4 years), K – 5th Grade, and 6th – 12th Grade. Classes offered include a wide array of themes and media. The Art Annex also offers camps, birthday parties, and more!

Artshack Brooklyn | Bed Stuy

Program Details: Artshack Brooklyn is a nonprofit ceramics studio located in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. We are working towards accountability as an anti-racist, queer-affirming organization that celebrates the creativity of youth and honors people of all abilities. We believe in the healing powers of clay! Artshack offers afterschool classes (with school pickups form A&L 305 United and PS 56), teen classes, kid-friendly classes on the weekend, kids camps, and more.

Ages: Family classes are for all ages, 1 and up. Afterschool classes are 5 and up. Teen classes are for ages 10-14.

Artuta Art School @ Tappeto Volante Gallery | Park Slope

Program Details:  Artuta is an art school for kids ages 4+ featuring classes taught by working, professional artists in NYC. Our student-centered teaching methodology fosters creativity, concentration and problem-solving. In-person Observational Drawing classes take place at Tappeto Volante, an art gallery in Park Slope. Artuta Art School also offers Summer Art Camp, Portfolio Support, and Private Instruction.

Program Details: Barking Cat Studio is a uniquely equipped kid-size art studio that encourages creativity, discovery, teamwork and independent thinking. Brooklyn Museum Studio Art Programs | Prospect Heights

Program Details: The Brooklyn Museum offers a wide array of fun and appealing art courses for families, children, teens, and adults. Be inspired and guided by professional teaching artists, see our collections in a new way, and create your own art with new and traditional materials. All levels of experience welcome! Choplet Ceramic Studio & Gallery | Williamsburg

Program Details: Choplet Ceramic Studio offers ceramic classes and clay studio space in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The studio offers an After School Kids, Tweens & Teens Clay Program and Kids & Teens Ceramic Camps.

Program Details: ClayHouse is a pottery studio in Cobble Hill affiliated with The Painted Pot. They offer classes for kids including wheel pottery classes, handbuilding classes, and summer camps. They also offer special workshops, family classes, and more.

ColorLab @ Brooklyn Children’s Museum | Crown Heights

Program Details: ColorLab is Brooklyn Children’s Museum’s art-making space where artists of all ages can explore, make, and celebrate art. ColorLab programs are rooted in the creative works and cultures of Black artists. Each month our projects are inspired by a muse artist’s work and practice. Families have the opportunity to explore print-making, collage and sculpture projects inspired by artists such as Chakaia Booker, Romare Bearden, Faith Ringgold and Kehinde Wiley, among others. ColorLab is open Wednesday through Friday afternoons from 2:30-4:30 pm, and weekends from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Program Details: ESS Community Projects’ mission is to bring high quality art education to all members of our North Brooklyn community, regardless of income or experience. We host classes in our studio, in local public schools, and at community events around the neighborhood. After School classes are offered at Greenpoint Reformed Church, and ARTLAB for 6 months – 5 years old takes place at Sparśa Greenpoint.

Kentler International Drawing Space | Red Hook

Program Details: Kentler International Drawing Space is a drawing gallery on Van Brunt Street in Red Hook that offers a variety of educational programs for Red Hook youth and families. Their Drawing Together family program on the first and third Saturday of each month (10-11am) is FREE and designed for ages 4+ with a caregiver; drop-ins are welcome! Led by professional teaching artists, workshops are based on exhibitions at Kentler with new activities offered each week.

Program Details: Lebeor School of Art specializes in preparation for Middle School and High School admission art tests and portfolio reviews while also offering regular art classes that aim to increase a student’s artistic skills through their creativity. Program Details:  Loop of the Loom is a textile art studio that offers kids classes in weaving, felting, spinning, and more. Their classes provide a process-oriented program that empowers every child to create and self-express with confidence without the fear of making mistakes. Program Details: The Painted Pot is a paint-your-own pottery studio that offers clay & art classes, week-long camps, and more. All instructors are accomplished artists and are the foundation of our studio. PLAYDAY | Cobble Hill & Park Slope

Program Details: PLAYDAY is the place for children to experience the joy of making art in a fun, safe, clean, supportive, and collaborative studio environment. Grown Up & Me classes (aka Gum Art & Sensory) activities for children are offered for ages 1-4. Our 60 minute Art 5+ drop-in activities, such as Drawing & Painting, Water Color World, Sculpture, Fiber Frenzy, Cartooning, Little Architects, and many others are offered daily Monday-Friday all year round. Pratt Saturday Art School | Clinton Hill

Program Details: Since 1897, Pratt Institute’s Saturday Art School has been offering a broad range of classes for children and teens. Saturday Art School students are encouraged to explore a variety of media, techniques, and approaches. Most classes are taught by art and design education students who are supervised by faculty. All classes meet from 10 AM–12 PM for two 10-week semesters, fall and spring. Instructors explore new ideas and projects each semester and year, as participants may take classes many times. Program Details: Private Picassos is a virtual & in-person art studio, creating art experiences for kids and adults throughout the US and the world.
